This page describes the configuration settings screen for the program.
----------------------
1//Main Tab
This is the first tab displayed.
>MAIN TAB
[graphic]
# Player ID
You can change the player ID.
# Password
Please make sure not to use an important password. The program does not use encryption to store them on the computer. Additionally, the server only receives an MD5 hash from the program, so it does not store the password there.
# Create a New Player
If you would like to make a new player, press this button.
# Window Mode
This will run the program in windowed mode, which will increase the play smoothness. On mobile netbooks, stuttering is reduced in windowed mode.
# Window Mode Magnification
If you want, you can change the size of the window in windowed mode and display a small window to record from; Specify a zoom factor in %. You can also drag the edge of the window during startup to change the size.
# Automatic Database Update
You can change the timing to refresh the songlist within LR2.
# Song Database Refresh
Once you remove a song from LR2, you will want to recreate the song database. Please take note, this will clear ALL the current course specifications.
# Participate in LR2 Internet Ranking (LR2IR)
Select this option to compete against other players across the country. You will need a network connection to use this option. When you start LR2 with this option checked, your LR2IR account will automatically be created.
------------------------
2//Jukebox 1 Tab
This sets the folders where you would like songs to be searched for.
>JUKEBOX 1 TAB

# Search Song Folders
You can register folders by dragging and dropping folders into the window. When you create a folder here, the songs containted in that folder will be registered in the song database. You can open the folders and unsubscribe them from the database by right-clicking them.
------------------------
3//Jukebox 2 Tab
This is a special folder view settings tab.
>JUKEBOX 2 TAB

# Random Select
This will enable in-game a folder to select random songs from each folder. If you alter the Command a little, you can get it to specify a specific song level.
# Favorite and Ignore Folder
Not availalbe in the current version.
# Playcount Top 10
This will enable a folder to display the top 10 songs played frequently. By changing the command, you can displyay 50 or 100.
# Level Folder
Display a folder for each song level. This does not work in 9 Key mode.
# Clear Folder
Display a folder for each clear state (for example, FULLCOMBO or FAILED).
# Playrank Folder
Show a folder for each rank achieved (AAA through F)
# Insane BMS Folder
This is where people come to hear the madness. If you are connected to LR2IR, this will * download a list of songs, * order them by difficulty, and place them into a folder. If you are not online, this option will not be particularly meaningful.
# Max Number of Search Hits
This will limit the number of results you find when searching for songs in-game. This is to prevent you from accidentally searching for the letter 'b' and bogging down the database. To process a large search like this causes the system to become unresponsive for a long time. Limit the maximum hits to an appropriate value.
# Title Flash
Select this option to have new songs show as red for a certain amount of time. If this feature is off, it will also disable the NEW SONG folder.
---------------------
4//Options Tab
Here are various detailed settings.
>OPTIONS TAB
[graphic]
# Hi Speed
You can specify the minimum and maximum values for Hi Speed with MIN HS and MAX HS. You can specify the amount of change in speed with MARGIN HS.
# Basic Scroll Speed
You can change the base value for the note scroll speed. With the same BPM and the same Hi Speed setting, if you change this setting up or down, the scroll speed will change.
# Lane Cover Interval
Set the amount of change in degree of the lane cover when you press a key to move it up or down. This is a set rate, so scrolling with the mousewheel will have no effect.
# Minimum Hit Interval
High speed rendering is disabled with this option. On older versions of LR, this was a protection against the mysterious keyboard 'roll' error [i would guess double hit protection]
# Song Selection Speed
This will change the scroll speed fo the Song Select Wheel. If you would like to use a dedicated controller to scroll, using a higher value for the first number is safer, as the controller still sends a signal even after the rotation of the platter has stopped. Because of the programming of the controller, this is the only way to deal with it via software.
# Disable Font Image
The font images are all prepared in advance. If you are using a lot of Kanji characters, then you will need to use a lot of memory. If you chack this box, the program will use the fonts installed on the computer instead.
# Fallback Font
This will define which font to use if you disable the font image.
# Pop'n Controller for Song Selection
Not many have tried this, and I don't have a real pop'n controller, so wether or not this works is unconfirmed.
# Folder Lamp
When the songs are all buried within a folder, the folder can be hilighted to represent their state [FULLCOMBO, HARD CLEAR, and so on]. However, it requires a long time to load all the score data for the nested songs, so the folder will be slow to load. If you have a large number of songs, you should disable this option.
# Disable System Key
This will prevent the Windows Key, etc, from being pressed by accident.
# Logging Level
This is not useful in particular.
# Do Not Show Skin Preview
This will lighten the skin selection process, but you will not be able to confirm your customizations because a preview will not appear.
# Song Load While Dimmed.
After selecting a new skin, the songs are usually reloaded. The read speed is faster if you select this option, as the loading will be done immediately after selecting the new skin [rather than during play].
-----------------------
5//Select Tab
Here, you can set the filters on the nusic for finer selection.
>SELECT TAB

# Change back to the beta1 method when pressing the Difficulty Change button (Right Arrow Key on the keyboard or START on the controller). Usually, when you press the Difficulty Change key, it will change the difficulty of the song to the next level, but this option will change the difficulty of the entire folder at once.
# Do not use ALL keys
# Do not use SINGLE
# Do not use DOUBLE
# Ignore all DP
# Ignore all 9 Key
These functions will ignore a particular selection when you change playstyle. [Useful if you only have one controller or no Pop'n controller, etc]
# Do not use ALL difficulty
ALL will no longer show in difficulty select, it will return to BEGINNER after moving past INSANE.
# Ignore 5 Key scores on songs which have 7 and 5 Key charts.
As stated. change to your liking.
# 7 Key does not use a difficulty filter
This will ignore the categorization of NORMAL/HYPER/ANOTHER, and display all the difficulties at once as in a traditional BMS player.
----------------------
6//System Tab
Settings for the display and sound. This will greatly affect your comfort within the game, as both settings are very important.
>SYSTEM TAB
[graphic]
# 16 Bit Mode
When starting in full screen, the color depth will be 16 bit (65535 colors).
# Wait for VSYNC
Wait for the vertical sync signal. This will affect screen flicker positively. This will also greatly affect timing decisions. With the same JUDGE TIMING settings, the VSYNC option will create very different scores.
# Output Type
If you do not know what this is for, there is no need to change it. If you have a sound card with ASIO, please select ASIO without hesitation. In Vista, the wasapi may be faster than the Direct Sound, but this is not tested.
# Playback Driver
This will not need to be changed [unless you have multiple sound cards].
# Buffer Size
With a high value, the sound will leave the speakers more slowly, but noise is reduced. With a low value, the sound will exit the computer more quickly, but at the risk of performance and increased noise. It is recommended that you reduce noise as much as possible.
# Do Not Use FMOD Ex
If the sound is terrible, even after adjusting the Buffer Size, please check this box. This will disable the functionality of the effector and equalizer, and you can no longer set the Playback Driver or Output Type, but sound will be much more stable.
# Use High-Precision Timer
In some environments, if your computer becomes choppy, it will be best to put a check here. [my program tried to translate this as: in some environments, you may become jelly and put a check]
